Coordinate the records, professional scope, and decision process before comparing construction proposals.

Plan a callPublished · Updated October 25, 2026

Create one shared project file

  • Identify the owner of each wall segment and who is authorized to act.
  • Gather surveys, notices, permits, prior reports, and maintenance records.
  • Record issues observed safely and determine whether prompt assessment is needed.
  • Ask association counsel and the professional team to confirm governance, funding, and project requirements.

Commission a common scope

Use the same assessment findings and scope for each proposal. Record exclusions and responsibility for approvals, access, adjacent improvements, and restoration.

Check application authority

The official PPA application may require an association resolution and other entity documents. Confirm the current requirements directly with the City before submission.

Planning information only, not an inspection, engineering or legal advice, compliance determination, or quote. Confirm project requirements with the City and qualified professionals.
