Separate eligibility from readiness
Having the documents ready does not establish eligibility or reserve funds. The City evaluates the application and approved costs. Use the grant guide for program terms and the deadline guide for the current application window; this checklist is about organizing the file.
Start with the exact records the portal requests
The active application calls for the property Elevation Certificate, active flood insurance, proof of ownership, and identity. It expressly distinguishes the Elevation Certificate from a general survey. Ask the program which evidence is acceptable when a record is missing or outdated.
- Label each file by document type, property, and date. Do not rename a general survey as an Elevation Certificate.
- Check that flood coverage is active. An expired policy or homeowners policy without flood coverage is not the requested proof.
- Keep sensitive originals in your own secure records. This website has no document upload.

Add only the records that apply to your ownership
The portal also lists conditional income, historic-designation, association-resolution, incorporation/good-standing, commercial-owner-consent, and flood-photo or claim records. Confirm which apply to your case rather than assuming one household’s checklist fits every owner.
Make a document responsibility log
For status, use found, requested, current, or needs confirmation. Name the person who will resolve each gap, and keep a record of the program’s answer. The worksheet is a planning aid, not the official application.
Use this worksheet offline. Scroll sideways on a small screen, or print/save this page with your browser. Blank cells are for your own copy; nothing is entered or sent here.

Settle the funding questions before authorizing work
The City advertises assistance up to $20,000, subject to eligibility, available funding, and approved costs. An organized file or paid assistance does not guarantee an award.
- Which project and costs would the City approve, and what approvals must come before work?
- How does reimbursement after completion apply to this project, and what funds must the owner provide?
- Which signatures, certifications, or government terms must the owner personally complete?
- Are any consulting costs eligible? Do not assume our separate fee is reimbursable.

What paperwork support can coordinate
Our planned paid support would organize the requirements, track missing records, and prepare paperwork with owner authorization. Required owner signatures, identity checks, certifications, and acceptance of government terms remain part of the official process. Surveyors and other qualified professionals supply their own certified work.
Planning information only, not an inspection, engineering or legal advice, compliance determination, or quote. Confirm project requirements with the City and qualified professionals.
